BP Claims

Assistance

The good people of the coastal areas of Mississippi have come to know hardship very well in the recent years from the many hurricanes that have roared through the cities of Biloxi, Gulfport, Bay Saint Louis and Pascagoula. The Gulf Oil Spill that began on April 20th has presented an entirely different type of ecological and economic challenge for Mississippi.

In a recent meeting with a crowd of Mississippians in Biloxi, Gulf Coast Claims Facility Administrator Kenneth Feinberg said that "I'm here to work for the people of the Gulf Coast". "I am not a government official. I am not working for the administration, for the president. I am most certainly not working for BP", Feinberg said.

More details about the Gulf Coast Claims Facility and its payment procedures will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Some of the claim types that continue to contain question include real estate commissions and lost property values, lost revenues from area companies dealing with complex financial statements and persons dealing with cash.
